Information stored by the app
DanceMom101 stores only information a parent chooses to enter or select. This may include:
- Parent, dancer, team, studio, and team-contact details.
- Schedules, reminders, routines, competition plans, notes, packing state, and costume details.
- Optional sleep, recovery, soreness, energy, hydration, carbohydrate, protein, and fat entries.
- App-owned costume photos taken with the camera.
- References and basic metadata for photos or videos selected through Android's media picker.
These records remain in private app storage. The current app has no DanceMom101 account system, developer analytics SDK, advertising SDK, or server that receives them.
02 · Use
How information is used
Information is used on the device for schedules, reminders, preparation and packing lists, notes, costume references, optional wellness history, and user-initiated Android actions.
DanceMom101 does not sell personal information. The developer does not use app records for advertising, analytics, profiling, or automated decisions.
03 · Backup
Android backup and device transfer
If Android device backup is enabled, Android may include the DanceMom101 database and app-owned costume photos in an encrypted cloud backup or direct device-to-device transfer. Google and the device platform operate that backup through the user's Android or Google settings; it is not sent to a DanceMom101 server.
Users control backup availability and deletion through their device and Google Account settings.
04 · Permissions
Access happens in context
- Camera: requested only after the user chooses to take a costume photo.
- Notifications: requested only after the user creates an event reminder.
- Media selection: Android's system picker grants access only to the selected photo or video.
DanceMom101 does not request direct contacts, device location, calendar-database, broad photo-library, body-sensor, Health Connect, or wearable access.
06 · Wellness
Optional context, not a diagnosis
Wellness entries are optional and parent-entered. DanceMom101 does not collect weight, calories, BMI, diagnoses, or macro goals, and it does not calculate a readiness or medical score.
DanceMom101 is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Recovery and nutrition material is general education, not medical advice or an individualized nutrition plan. Consult a pediatrician or qualified healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
07 · Retention & deletion
Local records stay under user control
Records remain on the device until the user edits or deletes them, clears DanceMom101 storage in Android Settings, or uninstalls the app. Android may restore an existing device backup after reinstallation unless the user separately disables or deletes that backup.
The app has no account and the developer holds no server copy to delete. Individual app records can be deleted in DanceMom101. Removing a video reference never deletes the provider-owned source video.
08 · Audience
Built for adult caregivers
DanceMom101 is designed for adult parents and caregivers, not for independent use by children. A parent may enter information about a dancer to organize that dancer's activities. The developer does not receive that information through an account or DanceMom101 server in this version.
09 · Security
Android's private boundaries
DanceMom101 relies on Android app-private storage, scoped system pickers, temporary sharing grants, and device security and backup controls. No storage method is risk-free, so users should keep their device lock, operating system, and Google Account security current.
10 · Changes & contact
Policy changes follow product changes
This policy will be updated before any release that materially changes data access, collection, use, sharing, account behavior, advertising, analytics, or server synchronization. The review date will change when the policy changes.
